Position Overview: eCommerce Front-End Developer

We seek a talented, experienced eCommerce Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development and a keen understanding of eCommerce platforms, user experience design, and performance optimization. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining live e-commerce stores and ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience.

The eCommerce Front-End Developer will create, enhance, and maintain the user interfaces of our clients’ eCommerce websites. This role involves working closely with back-end developers, designers, and marketing teams to ensure sites are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new user-facing features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into high-quality code.
  • Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability to ensure fast load times and smooth user experiences.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases.
  • Implement responsive design to ensure a seamless experience across various devices.
  • Conduct website performance, usability and ADA compliance testing and solutions.
  • Fix bugs and enhance website functionality.
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to implement and test new features.


  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Front-End Developer, preferably in the eCommerce sector.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms such as Miva, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar.
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
  • Strong understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, such as; (React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Knowledge of API development and integration (JSON, REST, GraphQL).
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring the application will adhere to them.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
